A LITTLE CLARITY BEFORE THE BIG DAY
Good questions.
Thoughtful answers.
From your first inquiry to your last song, here’s what to expect for your Aruba wedding.

Planning & booking
- Will you coordinate with our other vendors?
- Yes. I work with your planner or coordinator to keep the timeline flowing, and coordinate with your photography and video team around the important moments.
- Do we need to choose our venue first?
- No. You’re welcome to reach out, discuss your needs and book before your venue is confirmed. Knowing the venue helps us plan the setup and arrangements, but it isn’t a requirement to get started. Share your date, any venues you’re considering and your planner’s details if you have one.
- What does the experience cost?
- The Ever After Experience starts at $2,400 for up to 4 hours of DJ and MC service in one location. See the full included services. Share any ceremony, cocktail-hour, additional-location or extra-time needs so the complete scope and applicable price can be confirmed before booking.

- Why choose Ruuben if another DJ costs less?
If personal planning, confident hosting and a cohesive entertainment setup matter to you, that is where The Ruuben Experience is focused. The starting package brings DJ and MC service together with music curation, a planning portal and support, reception sound, a polished booth, lighting and the enhancements listed on the Services page.
I’ve been a wedding DJ since 2002. My role is to prepare with you, read the room and guide the important moments so you can enjoy your celebration. Compare the full scope of each quote, then read what couples say and watch the performance videos to decide whether my approach feels right for you.
- What happens after we check availability?
- Share your date and what you have in mind through the availability page. If you’re still choosing a venue, you can still inquire, discuss your needs and book. We’ll confirm availability and the arrangements for your wedding, including any additional locations or services. Your venue or planner may have its own booking route; we’ll clarify the applicable next steps. Once your booking is confirmed, your personal planning portal brings your music, timeline and event details together. An inquiry alone does not reserve your date.
- Does checking availability reserve our date?
- Checking your date starts the conversation. Your booking is confirmed once the required booking steps are complete and you have received confirmation.
- How do we plan with you once we’re booked?
- Your personal planning portal ↗ brings your music, timeline and event details together. Consultations and planning support help you prepare along the way.

Music & your wedding day
- How long have you been a wedding DJ?
- I’ve been a wedding DJ since 2002. Every celebration still starts with getting to know the couple and the experience they want to create.
- Can we choose our music?
- Absolutely. Share your favorites, must-play songs and do-not-play list through your planning portal. Your music is shaped around your taste, with room to respond to the energy of your guests.

- Can our guests request songs?
- Yes. The guest music request tool lets guests share suggestions before the wedding while you keep control of the music experience. Your do-not-play list and the direction you have chosen remain part of the plan.
- Can you cover our ceremony or cocktail hour?
- Yes. Ceremony audio can include microphones for the officiant and vows, and cocktail-hour sound can be arranged in a separate space. Share the locations and timing so we can confirm the additional setup and scope.
- What is your MC style?
- Warm, confident and focused on the moment. I guide introductions, toasts and special dances, then respond to the room as the party builds. Tell me the atmosphere you want and which languages will help your guests feel included; announcements are available in English, Spanish, Dutch and Papiamento.
- How do we know whether your music is right for us?
- Start with the performance highlights, then share favorite artists, genres, must-play songs and anything you do not want to hear. Your music preferences guide the preparation, with room to respond to your guests on the night. Ask about specific songs or versions during planning so we can confirm the details.
- Can we have a private last dance?
- Yes. You can finish with one big celebration alongside your guests, enjoy a private last dance together, or make room for both. We’ll plan the music and timing around the ending you want, coordinating with your planner and photographer so everyone knows what happens next. Any private dance or sendoff music needs to fit within your booked DJ coverage.
- How do you prepare for an outdoor Aruba wedding?
- We confirm the setup location and arrangements with your venue or planner. The equipment needs a dry, suitable space. When weather is threatening, full protection and a suitable indoor backup location are required, with the location chosen early enough for setup. A plan to move the full system after the celebration starts is not a substitute for preparing ahead.
- What if there is a technical problem?
- Several backup layers are built into my setup. That preparation is part of the care behind your celebration, alongside the music and planning.
- What happens if an extraordinary emergency prevents you from performing?
- Your event details and instructions can be handed over to a capable DJ if an extraordinary event prevents me from performing. This is a handover option, not a guaranteed replacement-DJ service. We can discuss this during planning so expectations are clear.
