My wife and I got married at Flamingo Beach owned by The Renaissance earlier this year. The venue recommended several different DJs and we decided to reach out to Ruuben to see if he would be a good fit for us and would be available on our wedding day. Ruuben was responsive in his communication throughout the process and we had several zoom conversations the weeks leading up to the big day. His website was easy to use to guide him on what songs/genres of music we were looking for. Ruuben was also our officiant for the wedding ceremony and pulled off both duties seamlessly. Thankfully he is multilingual and engaged our audience in both English and Spanish. He kept the energy consistently high during the reception after and was very professional and good-natured. We felt like we were in great hands with Ruuben and highly recommend him.

If I could give DJ Ruuben more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! From the very beginning, he was incredible to work with. Before the wedding, we had multiple Zoom calls where he really took the time to understand our vision and exactly what we wanted our day to feel like. His planning website was so easy to use, and he gave us plenty of time to finalize our music, even though I was definitely making last-minute changes! He was so patient throughout the process, helping us mix songs together, sending sample edits, and making sure everything was exactly how we envisioned it.

On the wedding day, he exceeded every expectation. My biggest goal was for our wedding to feel like a club where everyone was on the dance floor all night, and he absolutely nailed it. From the emotional slow dances to the high-energy party, every transition was seamless and every song was perfect. The dance floor was packed the entire night!

Ruuben was such a pleasure to work with and truly captured all our wants and needs and executed perfectly. We had a wide array of music we wanted from disco to dubstep. Ruuben flawlessly mixed all of our music to curate an amazing vibe and kept everyone grooving. Ruuben absolutely KILLED IT as our wedding DJ! The energy at our reception was incredible from start to finish, and that's 100% thanks to his talent and ability to read the room. He took our playlist - a mix of throwbacks, Latin music, rock, and everything in between - and seamlessly meshed it all together to keep everyone entertained and dancing the entire night.

The Perfect Wedding DJ Experience

We worked with DJ Ruuben for our wedding at the Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba, and he was incredible from start to finish. Out of all our vendors, he was the most organized and easy to communicate with. His website made planning everything simple, from uploading playlists and must-play songs to adding our custom first dance mix from our instructor.

The dance floor was full all night. He played every song we wanted, mixed in crowd favorites, and created the perfect flow from romantic slow songs to the high-energy ones later in the night. Every time the energy dipped, he played Taylor Swift (a crowd favourite for us), and it worked every single time.

Our guests kept telling us how much fun the music was and how great the overall vibe felt. You could tell he really paid attention to the crowd and knew how to keep everyone engaged. We chose DJ Ruben out of many Djs listed on a vendor list for our wedding. He was phenomenal. Its hard when your not from the island, and you basing all of your decisions off of reviews, and instagram posts. But Dj Ruuben is the real deal! From the zoom calls we had to his website it couldn't be any easier to plan using his platform. The website made things so easy! And he totally adapted to our style of music ( a lot of country) and mixed and mashed with Spanish, and rap. We loved every minute! We had the best time!!! Ruuben was the absolute best part of our wedding! From our first meeting I had told Ruuben that all I wanted from our wedding was for people to be on the dance floor all night long, and that absolutely was the case! To start at the beginning, the experience DJ Ruuben has made part of destination wedding planning feel very easy! We had the chance to meet over video chat, and he explained everything I needed to complete, as well as his responsibilities to ensure our wedding day was the best.Once you are confirmed and booked, he provides a portal for your wedding on his website. His website is professional, and it helped us organize how the music will flow throughout the wedding reception.

On the wedding day, we received nothing but compliments on how the music choices matched our style. Ruuben did listen and make our music choices blend, making the reception so much fun and feel like it represented us as a couple.

His setup allows for custom light-up designs that can be on the dance floor - his website walks you through how to go about getting it created! You will need to bring the custom gobos with you. It made us so happy since we customized it with our pomeranian! It was such a nice touch that everyone loved.

We booked DJ Ruuben because he was recommended by our coordinator and frequently worked with our venue, and we are so happy we did! He set up a pre-wedding meeting to get to know us and provided information on his services. It's clear he has worked with our venue countless times and that put us at such ease because he had the schedule of events, setup and timeline of the day down already. I'm not one to micro-manage and only put a few do not plays and song requests in, but otherwise left the choices up to him! We highly recommend DJ Ruuben for your wedding or any event! He was by far the best DJ I have ever seen. His music selection for us was spot on. From the time Ruuben started DJing until hours later when our wedding was over, no one sat down. Everyone stayed on the dance floor dancing. Island Party!

Ruuben was our DJ at our private island wedding at the Renaissance in Aruba. He was extremely flexible and followed our requests. We gave him some song recommendations which he used but he also filled in the rest of the night with music that fit perfectly and kept people on the dance floor! Even the wait staff loved his music. We loved the addition of the bubble machine - made for some great photos. He even let my dad “scratch the discs” which was awesome! Lastly he took a bunch of videos at our reception that he has shared on social media that we have enjoyed watching and relieving our special day! We didn’t have a videographer so this was such an added bonus. Would recommend DJ Ruuben to anyone getting married in Aruba.

We booked Ruuben to run music during our ceremony, and DJ for cocktail hour/dinner/dancing. He was amazing 10/10 recommend! It is hard planning a wedding from abroad, and I was very nervous on how everything would go, given all my vendor decisions were made with the help of google reviews. Ruuben exceeded my expectations. We met with Ruuben over zoom before the wedding, he explained everything and made us feel comfortable. He gave us access to a very easy app to enter which songs we needed for special moments of the night, and which songs we wanted played during the dancing portion. I told him what I wanted (no typical DJ extra noise stuff or quick mixes) and he delivered. Ruuben had a professional setup, all the lights, smoke/bubbles, nice DJ booth. All guests were on the dance floor all night, everyone had great things to say about Ruuben. He created the best Reel after the wedding for instagram, and when I asked if he had more footage- he did! Ruuben recorded the entire dancing portion (with permission), and he sent me all the videos to watch. We loved that- it was like reliving the night. SO glad we hired DJ Ruuben for our weddings after party on Renaissance Private Island!! He has an awesome system where you can input your song choices, do not play songs, etc all prior to the big day. You can also send the link to friends and family to requests songs, which made everything so easy! We were able to meet prior to the big day to talk through all our song choices, vibes, etc. Ruuben is so professional and kept the party going ALL NIGHT LONG. When starting the wedding planning process, we decided on Ruuben before we even picked a venue. Thank goodness we did because we can honestly say that our wedding would not have been the same without Ruuben.

When deciding to have a destination wedding all the nerves of what to do set in. It’s in a different country, how am I supposed to decide on things without being there? I will say finding and hiring Ruuben was the best decision I made! I saw his great reviews and followed him on social media and decided to send him a message! He responded immediately and he was so welcoming and informative from the beginning. It was a no brainer I had to hire him. He wasn’t only just a photographer, he was so much more. He eased my mind with all of my planning and I knew my pictures would come out beautifully. He was so helpful at my first meeting at our resort and pretty much led the conversation since I was completely clueless. The day of he stayed in communication with me the entire time and he was so easy and fun to be around. We had a family issue come up during the ceremony and he made sure we got the pictures we wanted after the fact, even if he had to stay late! Well once I saw the photos I was blown away once again. His turn around time was outstandinglyQuick and the quality of his work is second to none. RUUBEN was the best part of our wedding! We never once had to worry as he made everything smooth and seamless! We hired DJ Ruuben for our 40 person beach wedding on Renaissance Island and he absolutely delivered! Based on our group in attendance, we were not sure how lively the atmosphere was going to be. DJ Ruuben killed it with the music and was able to keep the energy on the dance floor the whole night. Between the song choices from our group (with ages ranging from early 20s to 60s) and the transition between songs, everyone had an amazing time. We had so many family members dancing that I did not expect to see on the dance floor. When booking our wedding venue I made sure that DJ Ruuben was available for our date and I am SO HAPPY that I did!!

DJ Ruuben far exceeded every single one of our expectations. From Day 1, he was proactive and kept prompt and consistent communication with us. He really took the time to get to know us before our event and provided a web portal and forms to help us outline our day and even our song requests. Our group knows how to party, and Ruuben kept it going all night. We even had guests trying to extend our reception when the night was coming to an end.. it was THAT good! When we decided to embark on a destination wedding we knew there would be some obstacles we would have to face. For example, we would need to trust the wedding planners recommendations on DJ's, Photographers, Videographers etc before physically meeting them. Everyone knows the 3 key factors to a great wedding is the food, the alcohol, and the music. The music is what makes or breaks your party hands down. My priority was partying all night and having everyone on the dance floor enjoying themselves. Also, being a professional dancer myself I knew the music was of the utmost importance and literally chose a wedding dress I knew I could dance in. DJ Ruuben was first on the list of my wedding planners recommendations so naturally I looked him up first. His profiles on both wedding wire and instagram were very professional and up to date. I knew just from the consistent content Ruuben took his business very seriously and was always striving to make each party better than the next. That alone spoke volumes to me. Then we had a zoom interview and in person meeting when we went down to taste food and I had great vibes from Ruuben right away. Months go by I curated playlists for specific times throughout the night and Ruubens portal he uses was everything I could've asked for. It was organized and easy to use to enter all my special songs, notes, playlists etc. Day of, he's professional as always and ready to go. The set up of his equipment was clean and professional and he kept my guests dancing ALL NIGHT. I knew I would be dancing all night but when my guests literally did not even know cake was served because they were too busy dancing I knew we nailed it. My 76 year old grandmother would not stop dancing. I was told the following days after our wedding, "That was the best wedding ever," "We've never danced that much in our lives," "That was the best DJ," "He played the best music," "This was the funnest wedding I've ever been too." There are not enough words to describe how amazing Ruuben was!! First off, he showed up to our initial meeting wearing a Mickey Mouse t-shirt, which made me so happy! My father, Mickey, passed away 3 years ago and this felt like a sign. We asked him to wear his best Mickey t-shirt to the wedding and he delivered! The music was FANTASTIC! He made the most epic playlist that fit our recommendations and taste perfectly. He even helped us with karaoke night, a few of our guests ended up singing and it was such a blast. I was actually worried when we booked, because I always thought I wanted a live band for my wedding, but I’m so glad I was introduced to Ruuben. You absolutely cannot get married in Aruba without him!

We were so thrilled with Ruuben as our DJ. He is very talented and kept our guests on the dance floor all night. Ruuben was very responsive via email. I was impressed when we met with Ruuben and my wedding coordinator prior to the wedding - Ruuben provided his expert opinion on song lengths for our important dances, and this made each dance perfect on the day of my wedding. DJ Ruuben’s service is SO professional. We are beyond happy with choosing him as our DJ for our destination wedding in Aruba. What we loved initially was how professional his communication was through email. The layout of bus website is also very professional the layout of his website, which makes it easy to make a payment. WOW!!! :):) I was really nervous at first in planning a destination wedding. Not knowing what other's experiences were like or having the ability to go around and meet people was a challenge. Planning a destination wedding is not easy by any means but Ruuben came highly recommended by the Marriott Stellaris and we are so thankful that we chose him as our DJ and MC. If you’re not sure what song to select, no worries! He was so helpful and his site provides a recommended short list of various song options with a breakdown of the wedding timeline and suggested songs to play during each part of the reception. You also have an option of providing songs you would like to played or even songs you don’t want to be played! We only met once a few days before our wedding but he was so approachable and definitely understood the assignment.. he brought his energy to make our wedding reception so memorable! Everything went so smoothly, the timeline was seamless - from the wedding introduction of our bridal party to dinner music to the last dance, we danced the night away! Prior to the wedding, the best part about Ruuben was that he wasn't difficult to get in touch with. If we reached out with any questions or concerns, he was quick to get back to us. DJ Ruuben may actually be one of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. He takes the time to get to know his clients and make them feel like family. He would send us texts for holidays and birthdays leading up to our event which showed us how much he cared and made us so excited for our day. Prior to the wedding, he gave us a website where we could manage all of our wedding requests. One of the coolest features is that he gives you a link to send to guests so they can request songs. Our friends and families had so much fun picking and choosing songs. This is amazing because then there is no one going up to the DJ for requests, therefore, I was able to manage my guests’ requests prior to the wedding. This created a wedding atmosphere that my husband and I planned. He creates the best seamless song transitions I have ever heard in my life, this honestly made the party. DJ Ruuben was AWESOME! We were definitely a bit skeptical as we had to do our planning remotely and during the pandemic but we were happily surprised. His website was super easy to use and he had different categories so that he knew what songs to play and which ones to not. The website also was easy to use to finalize the timeline of events. He was always quick to respond via email to accommodate our requests/questions, help us create mash ups for our first dance and special song tribute, and even secretly coordinated with my husband to do a surprise. He really created a great time for all of our guests. We received comments from our guests that the DJ was lit! He hyped up the party all night - we barely got a break in since the music was great and he mixed everything so well. A written review is not nearly enough to summarize how amazing our DJ experience with Ruuben was this past weekend. Honestly I had no idea what to expect planning a destination wedding, but Ruuben was one of the many vendors who exceeded our expectations. Not only did he get the crowd wild, he agreed to stay an extra two hours for us to continue the party. His app that allows you to add your own songs for specific categories of the wedding was super helpful and organized. He was also very kind in making sure the matron of honor speech was taken care of when we had a last minute issue with her not being able to attend. EVERYONE said he was the best DJ they've ever heard at a wedding and I couldn't agree more. If you are getting married in Aruba, go with Ruuben. He’s is an awesome DJ. Had all my guest dancing all night. He asked for a playlist from us for songs we wanted to get an understanding of songs we would want to here. He met up days before the wedding to go over what we wanted said and intros. He asked question about us to get to know us and feel is out. He was early to the wedding. He set up without problem. He looked like he was having fun at the wedding and did everything we asked and we discussed. He has a good relationship with the marriott team and he seemed to be friendly with the staff. I would highly recommend him.

Ruuben was the DJ for our small, intimate beach wedding - we were absolutely blessed to have him. He was sure to play our requests & stay away from artists or songs we didn’t care to have played. Ruuben was so much fun to work with! He is very creative and works well with all kinds of personalities! We did a shoot with 7 people and he got great photos of everyone! There was a big selection to pick from and plenty of options! The only downside we found was that downloading the photos they were smaller than we hoped (the largest was 2.5mb) which makes it difficult to blow them up large or edit!

Ruuben went above and beyond for us! He met with us before the wedding so we could talk and discuss what we wanted and how everything would happen on our wedding day. From DC to Aruba, Our Wedding Music Was Awesome - Thanks Ruuben!

My recommendation comes a little late, however, we never forgot the wonderful job Ruuben did for our wedding. I presented him with a list of songs we wanted to hear and he made sure he played each and every one of them. Coming from Washington, DC to Aruba for our wedding, we were unsure if we'd be able to find someone to accommodate what our musical selections were, however, everything went off very smoothly and we had no complaints.

We listen to a lot of gogo music here in DC, and Ruuben even found the gogo songs i supplied him with and he kept the dance floor packed.

I highly recommend Ruuben to anyone looking for a DJ to keep the music flowing and their party going! He did an awesome job and we are so thankful!!

We had come down to meet with our wedding planner, photographer and videographer 5 months before our wedding and was unfortunately not able to meet with Ruuben then, which had made me a little nervous. But there was nothing to worry about. He knows the business and knows what he’s doing! We met with him two days before the wedding and provided our list of must play, do not play, and songs assigned to dances (first dance, father/daughter etc). Before arriving to Aruba we decided to find a photographer to shoot a professional engagement photoshoot for us. Weddingwire had a lot of options and I quickly became overwhelmed but Ruuben actually followed up with us and not only did his work look amazing,but he was also affordable. The photoshoot was on our last evening, at sunset in Aruba and I actually cried when I got the pictures back because they are so beautiful. The poses he suggested, the angles, and my goodness the sunset! He is so personable and 1000% professional. I would definitely highly recommend.

From taking pictures while the bride was getting ready to every group photo that we wanted to take with our loved ones at the reception. Absolutely perfect!

Ruuben went above and beyond every single expectation I could of possibly had. From my very first email to him he responded (I am not kidding almost RIGHT AWAY!) He was so quick and answered all of my million questions. He provided me a form to fill out with all of the pertinent information and was very flexible with all of the changes I made throughout the entire process. We scheduled a meeting for when I had arrived to the island to go over the details in person which he was prompt and on time for. We went over the order of events and the list of songs we did not care for as well as the list of songs we absolutely wanted to be played. Come the night of the event, he was set up in the exact correct spot, ready to go when we arrived. He took requests from our guests all night long, played all of the songs we had requested, and really kept the party going all night long. Ruuben was super professional and even made a really awesome video of short clips from our reception. We had him for 4 hours but he probably gave us an overall 10 hours of service at minimum between all of my emails, our meeting, setting up and tearing down. I HIGHLY recommend his services! Last week my wife and I celebrated our wedding at the Marriott Hotel in Aruba. It was perfect. From ceremony, to dinner, and the dancing after there is nothing that we would change. We had an amazing time with DJ Ruuben at our wedding in Aruba on Sept 28, 2018. After just one quick meeting, Ruuben picked up on the vibe that we wanted immediately. We wanted a mixture of today's hits as well as oldies and he nailed that combination. The dance floor was crowded the entire night with everyone dancing the night away to the great tunes. We also had a plan to give a little signal to him when we wanted to end our special dances (as they were all long songs), and he picked up on the signals immediately and very nicely faded out each song - it was perfect! At the reception, the caterer was unexpectedly very late, Ruuben stepped in to keep us dancing AND communicated with our planner and caterer to help resolve the issue. He was a life saver! We were able to just dance and have fun even though things didn't go perfectly according to plan. We also wanted some special lighting at our reception and Ruuben was able to make that happen for us as well.

As a DJ, he is very talented! He can mix, mashup & make exciting announcements better than any live DJ I've heard in the US. We felt like our small wedding was the party of the year. I would highly recommend him for any event needing a DJ.

As a photographer, he was creative and made great suggestions for capturing the sunset in our pictures. He took so many photographs of our special day and all of our guests having an amazing time that we will treasure. We received digital access to the photos within 24 hours, which is incredible.

Ruuben and his team were one of the best DJ's we've ever heard! Every guest complimented my husband and I on how great the music was. Rubenwas the DJ at our wedding and we absolutely loved him! We met with him before the wedding and went thru our intro at the party.. what song we wanted playing when walking in, how he should anounce us, what song while cutting the cake, etc, etc. He carried this out perfectly on our big night! He took every one of our requests and made sure they were honored while also reading the crowd and using his judgment to make our event everything it could be. When planning for a destination wedding, one could only hope that vendors would meet the minimum expectations of the bride and groom. So when my husband and I met with Ruuben for the first time with only a few days left before our wedding day we were to say the least very anxious. However, Ruuben was so professional, so friendly, and attentive that he not only put us at ease but our parents as well during our meeting. He took his time and explained and listened to what we wanted for our wedding day. And when it came to our wedding night, Ruuben certainly delivered the perfect entertainment and music. He incorporated all our requests while he also observed the crowd to what music they responded to and sure enough ALL our family members and guests were on the dance floor all night. Our guests even commented how great of a DJ he was even with his perfect music selection during dinner. He was absolutely awesome and really helped make our night memorable.
